Committees and Groups within the Rock Family

Stewardship

The Stewardship Committee oversees the finances of the church including regular conversations with the treasurer, counting money, planning for stewardship campaigns and encouraging members to give of themselves generously to the church.

Worship

The Worship Committee plans and implements various items of the worship service. They are responsible for communion, vestments, banners, special services, and for thinking creatively about how to keep worship lively and engaging.

Fundraising

The Fundraising Committee is very active and very successful! They hold an annual Country Auction which raises thousands of dollars each year. They also hold a biannual yard sale, they host a Craft Fair at the Apple Butter Festival and their hard work provides for many special items around the church.

Christian Education

The teachers at Rock Church do an incredible job preparing Christian Education. The church has decided not to use curriculum this year and instead pick the most important bible stories they can think of and teach them in a multi-sensory way. They understand that kids learn better hands on and so the Sunday School time includes hand crafted lessons that include baking, drawing, painting, playing, and games.

Youth Ministry

The Youth Ministry Committee oversees all of the youth activities and plans for the teens of the church. There are both youth and adult members of this committee and they work very hard to provide meaningful experiences for our youth.

Mission Interpretation Committee

The Mission Committee has been reenergized this year to do mission!! Currently, members are helping with the After Care program associated with Meeting Ground. The committee hopes to have a monthly challenge to the congregation to do mission year round.

Communications

The Communications Committee is responsible for the website, print documents, newspaper relations, and thinking creatively about how to present Rock to the community.

Evangelism

Coming soon, a brand new evangelism committee will seek to reach out to the new developments in the area and share the good news of the Gospel!
